Event Overview

The Front Range Ultra Dayze (FRUD) is a multi-day running festival taking place in Loveland, Colorado. It features a variety of ultra-distance and timed events, with a total participant cap of 200 runners.

Distances and Formats

The event offers both distance-based and time-based races. The distance-based races are a 200-mile, a 100-mile, and a 50k. The timed events are 100-hour, 72-hour, 48-hour, 24-hour, and 12-hour formats. All distance-based races have a final cutoff at 2:00 PM on the Monday following the start.

Course Details

The course is a 2-mile loop run primarily within Centennial Park and the River’s Edge Natural Area. The surface is approximately 80% dirt trail and 20% pavement. The course is described as flat and fast.

Logistics and Rules

The race is chip-timed. Runners are allowed to camp for free in a designated area within Centennial Park for the duration of the event, with specific rules regarding tent stakes and pop-up canopy weights. Pacers are not allowed on the course, and crews may only assist in designated areas. One aid station will be open 24/7 near the start/finish, with hot meals served during breakfast and dinner windows. The event uses a single electrolyte beverage, Proxima C Endurance Fuel.

Participant Perks

Registration includes a 5-liter waterproof dry bag, a pompom beanie, and a collapsible cup. Finishers who complete at least 50k receive a belt buckle. Additional, larger buckles are awarded for higher mileage achievements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
