Friends on the Run 5K & Mother's Day Walk
Friends on the Run is a community 5K event held on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Pachella Field, 6839 Henry Avenue, Philadelphia. The course uses the Pachella Trail to the Forbidden Drive turnaround in Wissahickon Valley Park, with start and finish at the entrance to Pachella Trail. The program includes both a running event and a separate walking event, each covering a 5 kilometer distance.
Registration opens February 26, 2026, and closes May 10, 2026. The standard registration fee is $25. An early bird discount applies for registrations completed by April 1, 2026 using coupon code early_bird_special. A T-shirt is provided for registrations completed by April 24, 2026; distribution after that date is while supplies last. Discounts are available for schools, teams, and running, walking, and hiking clubs. Teams may register in honor of a cancer patient or survivor.
A Family Fun Morning accompanies the event and features a bounce house, face painting, and games. The 5K running event presents awards including 1st overall male and female and top three male and female in age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
