The Friends of the poor 5k takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in New Ipswich, New Hampshire. The event is based at New Ipswich Congregational Church, 156 Main St, New Ipswich, NH 03071. The program includes two 5K options: a 5K RUN and a 5K WALK. The run has an entry fee of $25 and the walk is free. Registration opens May 11, 2026. Runners who register at least two weeks before the event receive a premium long sleeve wicking shirt. Walkers who register at least two weeks early receive a T-shirt.

All proceeds benefit the Society of St. Vincent de Paul to help feed local families in need. A course map is available for the 5K. The organizer notes the course is scenic and that fall foliage will be peaking in early October. The event accepts sponsor pledge donations and provides a pledge sheet.
