Friday The 13K in Winston Salem is an evening running event that offers on-site and virtual participation. Runners can choose from multiple distances and will receive a custom finisher medal at the finish line.

The event program includes awards for the top three men and women in five-year age groups. The newly added 6.5K is listed with the same swag and award structure as the 13K. Water stations are provided approximately every 1.5 miles along the course. Organizers note that the course includes some hills and is not completely flat. Participants must meet a minimum finish pace of 16 minutes per mile.
Registration opens in advance and has tiered pricing: regular, late, and race day rates for each distance. Participants registered by November 3 are guaranteed race swag in their size; thereafter swag is available while supplies last. A virtual option allows participants to run at a location of their choice, submit results online, and view published results the Monday after the event date.
