About the race
The Fresno Valentine Run is a recurring community running event held at Woodward Park Group Activity Area in Fresno, California. The event has been held since 2002 and includes both in-person and virtual options with timed and untimed formats.
Multiple event types are offered, with core distances including:
- 5K (in-person and virtual)
- 2 Miles (in-person)
Entry fees vary by category: adult entries are listed at $35, youth entries at $20, the kids run at $12, and the virtual Run Anywhere option at $55. A multiple-person discount applies to adult entries when adding a second person: $10 off for a couple and $5 off per person for groups registering together. The kids run is designed to be run with parents and does not include timing, a shirt, or a medal; youth registration is required for timing, a shirt, and a medal.
Amenities and on-site features include a finisher's medal, chip timing for timed events, a Valentine Run T-shirt, a red Valentine rose, Ghirardelli chocolate, beverage options (mimosa or orange juice and Rosa Brothers chocolate milk), a massage tent, a costume contest, a bounce house for kids, a photo area with Elsa, Olaf and Batman, music, prizes, and admission to the Shinzen Friendship Garden.
