Freedom Run: The Race Against Poverty
Freedom Run is the 10th annual running event held at Wesley Chapel District Park in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The event offers in-person and virtual options and is organized as a timed event for in-person participants.
Net proceeds support construction projects and housing for communities in need. Previous projects have included homes built in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, the Philippines, and El Salvador.
Key participant features include a finisher medal for each participant, first place trophies for overall male and female finishers, and first-place age group awards. Virtual participants will receive a medal by mail; virtual entries do not receive shirts or timed placements.
Registration details vary by event. Registration opens on 2025-05-09. In-person race registration closes on 2025-08-31. Virtual race registration closes on 2026-05-02. There is a T-shirt deadline on 2026-04-10; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt.
