Freedom Run on the Ranch - 20th Anniversary
Freedom Run on the Ranch is a community running event held on July 4, 2026 in Ladera Ranch at 1 Daisy Street. The event marks its 20th anniversary and presents a morning of running and community activities around Founders Park and nearby streets.
- 1K Kids around Founders Park, finishes at the archway on Avendale and Daisy Street
- 5K on the original course with marked road closures
- 10K as two laps of the 5K course with marked road closures
- Double 10K and 5K entry option
Race registration and sponsorship proceeds support local charities and in 2026 the event supports the Jessie Rees Foundation - NEGU. A vendor and sponsor area is part of the event, and an XClusive American Breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes and juice) is offered as a separate option.
Race registration opens November 24, 2025 and closes June 23, 2026; registration prices increase on June 22. Packet pickup is scheduled June 28 at Snails Pace Mission Viejo and July 3 at Board & Brew Ladera Ranch. Participants are informed that road closures will be in place, they run at their own risk, and they should practice social distancing and be mindful of others.
