Freedom Run on the Ranch - 20th Anniversary
The Freedom Run on the Ranch is a community Fourth of July running event in Ladera Ranch. The program includes a kids 1.3K loop at Founders Park, a 5K on the original course, a 10K run completed as two laps of the 5K course, and a double entry combining the 10K and 5K. Road closures will be in place and marked along the course. Participants run at their own risk and are asked to practice social distancing and be mindful of others.
Event proceeds and sponsorships support local charities; in 2026 the event supports the Jessie Rees Foundation NEGU. A paid breakfast option is offered; a sponsor and vendor area is part of the event morning. Packet pickup is scheduled for July 3 at Board & Brew, Ladera Ranch location.
Registration fees vary by event; examples from the organizer include a kids entry fee, 5K and 10K fees, a combined race fee, and a separate fee for the breakfast option. Registration prices increase on June 22.
