20th Annual Freedom Run on the Ranch
The Freedom Run on the Ranch takes place on July 4th in Ladera Ranch, California. This community event celebrates the national holiday by hosting several running distances on local roads. The race serves as a fundraiser where proceeds from registration and sponsorships are directed toward local charities.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- 1.3 km Kids Firecracker 1k loop around Founder Park.
- 5 km run on the original street course.
- 10 km race consisting of two laps of the 5 km course.
- Double race entry for the 10 km and 5 km events.
The routes involve marked road closures to accommodate runners. The Kids 1k race specifically follows the streets surrounding Founder Park and concludes at the archway situated at the intersection of Avendale and Daisy Street.
In addition to the running events, there is a vendor area featuring event sponsors. An American breakfast including eggs, bacon, pancakes, and juice is available for purchase from local restaurants, with all breakfast proceeds also benefiting charitable organizations.
