Independence Day 5K : Newburgh, IN
The event is a 5K run/walk held on July 4, 2026, at Friedman Park, 2700 Park Blvd., Newburgh, IN. The course is an out and back that starts and finishes at the West Pavilion. The event will proceed in rain or shine and may be delayed if weather is threatening.
Entry fees are tiered: $30 through February 28, $35 through June 15, and $40 through race day. There is a $5 deduction for a medal only option. Veterans and active duty personnel receive a $5 discount with the code JULY4. All sales are final and no refunds are offered; unless prior arrangements are made, medals and shirts will not be saved for after the event.
Early packet pickup and late registration are scheduled the day before at Ultimate Fit Shoes. Check in and late registration are also available at Friedman Park on race day.
Results are handled by To the Finish Timing. Awards are presented to overall male and female winners and overall runner ups, with age group awards for the top four male and top four female finishers in these divisions: 13 and under; 14 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; 70 to 79; 80 and over.
