Event Details
The Independence Day 5K is a running and walking event in Newburgh, Indiana. It is scheduled for July 4, 2026.
Location
The event takes place at Friedman Park on 2700 Park Blvd in Newburgh.
The Course
The course is a 5K out-and-back route. It starts and finishes at the West Pavilion within the park.
Registration and Fees
The base registration price is $30. This price increases to $35 after February 28, 2026, and to $40 closer to the race day. A $5 discount is available for veterans and active-duty military members with a code. Groups of four or more can request a discount code via email. All sales are final with no refunds.
Logistics
Early bib and shirt pickup, as well as late registration, is available on July 3 from 5-6 pm at Ultimate Fit Shoes. On race day, check-in and late registration are available at Friedman Park from 6:15-6:45 am.
Awards and Timing
Awards are given for overall male and female winners and runners-up. Age group awards are presented to the top four males and top four females in categories ranging from 13 & Under to 80+. The event is chip-timed by To the Finish Timing.
Weather Policy
