Freedom Run for Epilepsy Awareness : Kailua, HI
Freedom Run for Epilepsy Awareness is a community event organized by the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawai‘i on August 2, 2026 at Kailua High School campus, 451 Ulumanu Drive, Kailua, HI. The event brings together runs and a walk to raise awareness and support for people affected by epilepsy.
Event offerings include:
- 5K timed runs for adults and youth
- 10K timed runs for adults and youth
- 1 mile untimed awareness walk, free registration
Youth entries for some distances include a shirt. Registration opens in March 2026 and closes August 1, 2026. Published fees include $50 for adult 5K and 10K entries, $25 for youth entries, and $0 for the 1 mile awareness walk.
Kailua High is a school campus so pets are not allowed on campus or at the start and finish area. A Pet Oasis provided by Enchanted Lake Pets will offer pet seizure safety information, and a limited quantity Purple Paws bandana add-on will be available. A nearby cheering area will accommodate leashed dogs and their handlers outside campus restricted zones.
