Freedom Run 5K/10K
The Freedom Run 5K/10K is an annual fundraiser hosted by Georgia Southern University Army ROTC. The event takes place in Statesboro, Georgia, at the Military Science (ROTC) Building, 4526 Old Register Rd, and supports the Eagle Battalion's activities, training, ceremonies, and scholarships. A portion of proceeds will benefit a memorial ROTC scholarship and a Cadet Association scholarship.

- 5K Run/Walk/Crawl
- 5K Ruck for participants 13 and older
- 10K Run
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 10K
The 5K ruck division requires participants to carry their own weighted rucksacks, backpacks, or vests and to maintain minimum weights; there is a weigh-in before and after the race. The 10K requires participants maintain at least a jogging pace; walkers are not allowed in the 10K. Walkers are permitted in the 5K events.
In-person registration and race packet pick-up are held at the Military Science (ROTC) Building on the day before the race and on race day morning. Participants may park in Lot 42, directly across from the ROTC building. Well-behaved dogs on a leash no longer than six feet are allowed; retractable leashes are not permitted.
