Freedom Race 5k, 10k, 15k
The Freedom Race takes place at Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn, Ohio. This trail running event utilizes the natural landscape of a former limestone quarry, featuring a variety of terrain including limestone cliffs and wooded sections. Participants navigate a course that offers views of the quarry environment and surrounding natural areas.
The event offers three distinct trail distances to accommodate different preferences:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 15k (9.3 miles)
The terrain is characterized as rugged, providing a trail running experience through the park's specific geological features. All participants who complete their chosen distance receive a finisher medal. Special awards are designated for the overall winners of the 5k, 10k, and 15k categories.
Registration includes a short-sleeve race shirt if completed by June 27th. For those registering after this date, including on the day of the event, a shirt is not included in the fee.
