Freedom Mile - Clifton Park
The 6th Clifton Park Freedom Mile takes place on July 4, 2026 at Clifton Park Common on Clifton Common Blvd. The event is held prior to the Clifton Park Fourth of July parade and follows a short looped course. The route starts at the Shen campus entrance on Route 146, turns left onto Vischer Ferry Road, and makes a quick left into Clifton Park Common for the finish. The event is supported by the Town of Clifton Park and benefits three seasons of cross country and track and field at Shenendehowa.

Registration and fees: registration opens January 31, 2026. Individual registration is $25 per person through July 3 and $30 on race day. Family pricing is available: four people from the same household for $80 through July 3 and $90 on race day; five people for $90 through July 3 and $100 on race day. Route Rooter registration is $10. The first 150 registered participants are guaranteed a running hat giveaway; Route Rooters do not receive giveaways. The first 75 Route Rooters to register receive a cowbell.
Awards are given by age group in the following divisions: 1-10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. Packet pickup and gift collection occur at Clifton Park Common. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
