Freedom Mile - Clifton Park (July 4, 2026)

The Freedom Mile in Clifton Park is a one-mile road race held on July 4, 2026, and takes place around Clifton Park Common. The route runs from the Shen campus entrance on Route 146, turns left onto Vischer Ferry Road, and returns with a left into Clifton Park Common for the finish. The event is supported by the Town of Clifton Park and benefits three seasons of cross country and track and field at Shenendehowa.

Registration opens January 31 and closes July 3 for standard entries. Individual registration is $25 through July 3 and $30 on race day. Family registration options are available: four household members for $80 through July 3 (race day $90), and five household members for $90 through July 3 (race day $100). Route Rooter registration is $10; the first 75 Route Rooters will receive a cowbell. Giveaways are guaranteed to the first 150 registered participants and consist of a running hat; giveaways may be collected at packet pickup or at the race finish at Clifton Park Common.

Awards will be given by age group: 1-10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
