Freedom Is Never Free 5k, 10k, & Half
The Freedom Is Never Free running event takes place at the Carderock Recreation Area in Potomac, Maryland. The course is situated on the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath, providing participants with a flat and fast surface for running. This geographical layout is designed to help participants achieve personal records.
Participants can choose from several different distances:

- Half Marathon
The event is open to a variety of participants, as walkers and those with strollers are permitted to take part. In addition to the in-person races, there are virtual participation options available, which allow individuals to complete the distance of their choice remotely with or without commemorative items like medals and shirts.
