Freedom 5k & Half : Georgetown, Washington DC
The event offers two in-person race distances that follow the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal path in Georgetown, Washington DC. The course is described as fast and flat and is set near the Potomac River and downtown Washington. The in-person races take place on July 5, 2026.
The two in-person race options are:
- Half Marathon - begins and ends in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club
- 5K - begins and ends at Fletcher's Boat House
Both in-person events benefit Operation Enduring Warrior. Walkers are welcome to attend. In addition to the in-person races, the event includes virtual participation options with choices such as virtual entries with or without a medal and with or without a shirt.
