Freedom 5k - Andrews

The Andrews Freedom 5k is a run and walk event held in Andrews, North Carolina on 07/04/2026. The course runs throughout the small mountain town and the event takes place alongside local 4th of July celebrations. Participants may include racers, walkers, and those using strollers.

All participants receive a T-shirt. Snacks and drinks will be available for everyone. Registration opens 5/21/2026 and closes 7/3/2026; the registration fee is $30.00.

Awards are given by age bracket and gender with four brackets: under 18, 19-40, 40-60, and 60 plus. There are separate men's and women's awards for each bracket, and additional awards for the most patriotic participants.

Proceeds from the event are split evenly between two local organizations: 50% to Andrews Trails and 50% to the Cherokee Clay Food Alliance.
