Andrews Freedom 5K

The Andrews Freedom 5K is a community run and walk held in Andrews, North Carolina, presented with the theme "250 Years of Freedom." The course goes throughout the small mountain town and accommodates racers, walkers, strollers, and families. Every participant receives a T shirt, and snacks and drinks are provided.

The event uses four age brackets for awards: under 18, 19-40, 40-60, and 60 plus, with separate men's and women's awards in each bracket. Additional awards recognize the most patriotic participants.

The event meeting point is listed as Andrews Town Centre Shopping Center at 7 Wilson Street, Andrews NC 28901. Proceeds from the event are split evenly, with 50 percent going to Andrews Trails and 50 percent going to the Cherokee Clay Food Alliance.
