Free Care 5K
The Free Care 5K presented by CIBC is a charity road race held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Meridian Road on the St. Barnabas Gibsonia Campus in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. The event is organized by St. Barnabas Health System to raise funds for the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
The race benefits the Free Care Fund, which provides more than $6 million in free care to patients in need each year. The 5K has been held for more than 30 years and combines fundraising with a community running event that includes competitive and recreational participants.
Event details include a rolling 3.1 mile out-and-back course certified by USA Track & Field, a startline corral to reduce congestion, and ChampionChip timing for net times. A post-race party for participants features free food and beverages, raffle prizes, and a prize for the top fundraiser.
Entry fees are listed as $30 before August 1, 2026 and $35 on race day; fees are non-refundable. Inline skates, pets, and smoking are not permitted. Team entries must include three to five people with at least one female, must have a team name, and must register in advance.
