Free Care 5K at St. Barnabas Gibsonia Campus
The Free Care 5K is a charitable road race held at the Meridian Road campus of St. Barnabas in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. The event supports the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which provides more than $6 million in free care to patients in need each year. The race has run for more than 30 years and is presented by CIBC.
The course is a rolling 3.1 mile out and back and is USA Track & Field certified. ChampionChip timing is used to record net times. A startline corral is used to reduce congestion. A post race party on the medical center lawn is open to participants and includes free food and beverages, music, free shirts and runner bags, dozens of raffle prizes, and a prize for the top fundraiser.
Entry fees are listed as $30 before August 1, 2026 and $35 on the day of the event; entry fees are non refundable. The event policy does not allow inline skates, pets, or smoking. Packet pick up is scheduled on Thursday, July 30 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at The Washington Place at St. Barnabas, with an additional Saturday morning pickup at St. Barnabas Medical Center Drive from 7:00 to 8:30 am.
Team entries must include three to five people with at least one female, must have a team name, and must register in advance. Cash prizes and awards are presented to overall and age group finishers, wheelchair racers, and teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
