Fred Hughes 10 Mile
The Fred Hughes 10 Mile is a club-organised road race in St Albans, scheduled for 17 January 2027. The event is organised by St Albans Striders and has been held since 1985. The course runs on rolling, undulating country lanes around Bedmond in St Albans and uses mostly quiet roads that are not closed to traffic.
The race headquarters is at St Columba's College, King Harry Lane, AL3 4AW, with limited parking on site and additional pay and display parking nearby at Westminster Lodge, AL1 2DX. The event listing notes walking and cycling as options for local attendees and provides approximate walking distances from nearby stations: St Albans Abbey is about 0.5 mile (approximately 12 minutes) and St Albans City about 1.5 miles (approximately 30 minutes).
