The Flint River Entertainment Complex Race Series
The Flint River Entertainment Complex 5K Race Series returns for its fifth annual edition in downtown Albany, Georgia. This community running series takes place at the Veterans Park Amphitheatre, which serves as both the starting and finishing point for every event. The series consists of three distinct themed races held across October and November, each featuring a unique course.
Participants may choose to register for individual events or the full series. The individual races include the Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Run, the Monster Dash featuring a haunted-themed course, and the Turkey Trot for the Thanksgiving season. Those who complete all three 5K events are eligible for the commemorative series medal and overall grand prizes awarded for the best cumulative times at the end of the final race.
Available distances include:
- 9.3 Miles (Full series cumulative distance)
- 3.1 Miles (Individual 5K races)
- 1 Mile (Fun run for all ages)
Single 5K entry includes a race-day t-shirt, while series registration provides a t-shirt for each event. The 1 Mile Fun Run is an accessible option open to all ages, though it does not include a series shirt. Registration for all events takes place at the venue on the morning of the race, where participants can also pick up their race packets.
