Combos(R) Marathon and Half Marathon
The Combos(R) Marathon and Half Marathon take place in Albany, Georgia, with race activities centered near 112 N Front Street. The event offers two distance options:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
Both races are open to hand cyclists, runners, and walkers. The course is described as flat and spectator friendly. Runners for both events have a 7 hour time limit to complete their race; at that point officials will ask participants to exit the course.
Aid stations are positioned at approximately two mile intervals. Each station is stocked with Combos(R), Aquafina water, and Lemon Lime Gatorade. As mileage increases, aid stations also provide bananas, oranges, and GU gels. A runner hospitality tent at the finish area supplies Combos(R), Aquafina water, and Lemon Lime Gatorade. Publix supplies fruit, muffins, and a variety of bagels at the finish.
The event includes a concurrent downtown music and street festival that features live music, food vendors, and kids activities. The marathon offers prize money totaling $12,000, with specified awards for the top three male and female finishers and additional awards for age category and masters top three finishers.
