Freeland Freaky 5's : Freaky 5 Mile
The event takes place on October 31, 2026 at Hayes Park in Freeland and uses the newest section of the Great Lakes Bay Regional Trail system. The program includes a professionally timed 5 Mile race alongside timed 5K run/walk options, an untimed casual 5K category added for 2026, and an untimed 1 Mile kids fun run for ages 13 and under.

Field size is limited to 500 participants. The event features youth and adult costume contests with prizes that include gift certificates from Runners Athletic Company and Bayne’s Apple Valley, and an on-site gift basket giveaway with a random bib draw for a present participant.
Entries include a custom finisher medal, professional timing for timed races, and the option to select a long sleeve race shirt. Shirts are A4 Cooling Performance long sleeve tees in unisex, ladies cut, and youth sizing, color white. Shirt orders are guaranteed only for registrants who choose the with-shirt option by midnight on October 25; kids shirts are included only if the child registers by midnight on October 19.
