The John Theissen Children's Foundation Freaky 5K & Kids Trick or Treat Trot
The event takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Wantagh, NY, with the main start and finish area in the TOH parking lot behind 1869 Wantagh Avenue. The course is described as flat and fast and uses the same start and finish area as in prior years.

- 5K Wheelchair division
- 1/4 mile Trick or Treat Trot for children 10 and under
Registration details include a pre-registration fee of $25 if postmarked by October 21, 2026, and a day of event fee of $30. The kids fun run fee is $10. Pre-race packet pickup and registration are held Friday 10/23 from 9AM-9PM and Saturday 10/24 from 9AM-4PM at 1492 Wantagh Avenue. Day of event packet pickup and registration are available at the start and finish area behind 1869 Wantagh Avenue beginning early on race day.
Awards include cash prizes for overall male and female finishers and masters, course time bonuses for top performances under set times, top overall in the wheelchair division, and large medals for the top five finishers in multiple age groups. Costume awards are given in three age categories. The first 700 registrants receive long sleeve shirts and post-race refreshments are provided.
