Event overview
The Never Stop Running Foundation Santa Strut is a road running event held on December 14, 2025, at Hempstead Lake State Park in West Hempstead, New York (Eagle Ave.). The event features a 5K run/walk and a free Kiddie Dreidel Dash for children. Both in-person and virtual participation options are offered.
Registration, race services and results
Registration options include in-person and virtual 5K entries, with an optional bib-mailing service for an additional fee. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. A purchase protection option is available for a separate fee; it lists qualifying circumstances such as severe illness, COVID-19, hospitalization, transportation failure, and some acts of nature.
On-site amenities include an informal bag-check area, nearby bathrooms, finish-line hydration, and post-race refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Virtual participants may upload times and photos during the period 12/14 to 12/21 and are given guidance for tracking distance (track laps, treadmill, MapMyRun, certified courses, etc.). Standings will be posted online and sent by text or email; there are no awards, but top placements will be recognized overall and in standard age groups (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, and continuing by decade up to 90+).
