Franklin County 4-H 5K Run/Walk
This event takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, and benefits Franklin County 4-H UGA Extension. The main road race distance is 5K and the course both starts and finishes at the Franklin County School District Office, 280 Busha Road, Carnesville, GA 30521.
Registration fees change by date: an early bird rate of $27 is available through August 15, the standard rate is $30 from August 16 through September 7, and the late registration rate is $33 after September 7. A family discount rate of $92 applies automatically when four people are registered together for the same event; the discount covers only the first four registrants and subsequent entries are charged at the regular rate in effect when the registration is submitted.
Awards include trophies for top overall male and female, Masters male and female, and Grand Masters male and female. Medals are awarded to the top three in male and female age groups in five-year increments from 10 and under through 75 and up. Event offerings on the morning include music, door prizes, and snacks alongside the race.
