Frank Captain Memorial Route 66 5K
The Frank Captain Memorial Route 66 5K is an inaugural memorial running event held in Chelsea, Oklahoma, on brick-paved streets along historic Route 66. The event honors Coach Frank Captain and directs all proceeds to benefit Chelsea Public Schools cross country teams. The race day coincides with the town's 91st Annual Jamboree and highlights local historic sites.

Pre-registration is open through September 25, with registration opening July 24. Pre-registration fees are $25 for the Fun Run and $35 for the 5K; same-day registration fees are $30 for the Fun Run and $40 for the 5K. Runners who register by September 16 are guaranteed a race shirt. All participants receive custom finisher medals and a post-race breakfast. Race day packet pickup and same-day registration are available.
Awards include overall male and female winners plus male and female age group recognition pins for finishing 1st through 3rd.
