Franconia Notch Half Marathon
The Franconia Notch Half Marathon is a timed 13.1 mile out and back road run held on the paved Franconia Notch recreational path in Franconia, New Hampshire. The course runs alongside Echo Lake and the Pemigewasset River and passes notable points such as the former Old Man viewing site, Cannon Mountain, Profile Lake, Boise Rock, Lafayette Campground, the Basin, and the Flume, providing continuous scenic views of the Notch.
The event is USTF sanctioned and may serve as a qualifier for other races. Aid stations are located approximately every mile and supply water and Gatorade. Walkers are permitted and are expected to complete the course within four hours. Every participant receives a finisher medal; an event t-shirt is available to those who register by September 30, 2026. Monetary awards are offered to the top male and female overall finishers.
Race weekend includes packet pick up and on-site registration on the days before and the day of the run. A post-race refuel is hosted at Cannon Mountain’s Peabody Lodge with tickets available in advance and on race day. Facilities and parking are centered at Cannon Mountain, Peabody Lodge (2650 Profile Rd, Franconia, NH); accessible parking is located in the lodge lot. Cell phone service in Franconia Notch is minimal. Pets are not allowed. Proceeds benefit the local adaptive sports organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
