FoxTrail Winter Running Series : Race 1 at Foxlake
FoxTrail Race 1 at Foxlake offers off road trail runs with two distance options. The routes start and finish at Foxlake HQ and run through woodland, farmland and sections of the John Muir Way, passing Belhaven Beach and John Muir Country Park. The terrain includes woodland tracks and farm paths with very little elevation and occasional bumps, tree roots and muddy patches. Runners should wear trail shoes as on-road trainers are not advised.

Courses will be fully waymarked and marshalled. The 13 km race includes a feed station. Entries include chip timing, race medical first aid cover and prizes for first, second and third place male and female. Series prizes are awarded based on a competitor’s best three placings; entrants must join the full series or the 5 km series to be eligible and solo event entries are not eligible for series prizes. Series entries close 10 November 2026.
Venue details list Foxlake Adventures, Dunbar, East Lothian, EH42 1XF. On-site car parking is available and is allocated on a first come first served basis between the main and overflow car parks; marshals will direct arrivals. Dogs are not permitted on the event routes. An athlete briefing will be published approximately two weeks before the event with additional event information.
