FoxTrail Winter Running Series : Race 4, Tyninghame

This event, part of the FoxTrail winter series, offers two trail distances that run from the Harvest Moon Holidays venue near Dunbar (EH42 1XP). The routes are exposed to East Coast weather and include coastal paths, mature woodland trails, farm tracks and a substantial beach section on Tyninghame Beach. The half marathon also includes a river crossing at the Peffer Burn where runners are likely to get wet. Some parts of the courses cross private land and cannot be recced before race day; other sections are only accessible on race day.

Distances:

• 5 km, coastal and woodland trail finishing on Tyninghame Beach
• Half marathon, coastal views, farm paths, woodland trails and a beach run with river crossing

Entry includes chip timing, race medical first aid cover, well stocked aid stations, and a finishers medal for the half marathon. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third place male and female finishers.

Series scoring is based on a competitor’s best three placings; series prizes require entry to the full series or the 5k series. Solo event entries are not eligible for series prizes. Parking is available on site and participants should follow marshal instructions. Competitors are asked to arrive early for registration as volunteers move out on to the course and registration cannot be completed after the closing time.
