Fourth of July Freedom Four Miler
The event takes place in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts on July 4, 2027, and features two community race options held before the town parade. The course runs through the streets of East Longmeadow and leads into the parade route area.
One option is the competitive Freedom Four Miler, a 4 miles road race that offers overall cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers and age-group awards. Overall cash prizes are $600 for first, $300 for second, and $150 for third, paid separately for male and female top finishers. Each age group winner receives $100. A special gift basket will be awarded for the Most Patriotic Outfit.
A second option is the Freedom Family 2 Miler, a 2 miles walk/jog designed for families, casual joggers, walkers, and children. Entry fees are listed for each event and registration opens and closes on the dates provided by the organizer.
Because the race precedes the town parade, the event follows a strict schedule. There is a 60 minute course cut off and a course sweeper will clear the route before parade operations begin. Roads around the parade area will be closed for the event, so participants are advised to allow extra time for arrival and parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
