Four on the 4th - Vinton
Four on the 4th is the 15th annual Fourth of July running event held in Downtown Vinton at 204 W. Lee Avenue, Vinton, VA 24179 on July 4, 2026. The event benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia and includes a post-race patriotic celebration in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, with on-site sponsors, activations, and a shared birthday cake.
The event program includes the following distances:
- 4 Miles in-person, virtual, and VIP options
- 0.5 Miles kids fun run
Entry options and deadlines vary by race. Registration for the main in-person 4-mile, the virtual 4-mile, and the kids fun run opens March 1, 2026; the in-person 4-mile registration closes June 19, 2026. Virtual entries close on July 4, 2026, and the kids fun run registration closes the morning of July 4, 2026. A VIP runner tier opens May 13, 2026 and has a separate registration deadline on July 4, 2026.
Published entry fees include $35 for the standard 4-mile, $35 for the virtual 4-mile (no shirt/medal option), $0 for the kids fun run, and $50 for the VIP tier. VIP runner perks listed by the organizer include a guaranteed commemorative shirt regardless of the shirt deadline, early packet pickup, and a raffle ticket for an exclusive prize that requires presence at the post-race party.
