Foundations 4 Hope 5K - Kentucky
The Foundations 4 Hope 5K in Lexington takes place on October 10, 2026 at Alltech Arena on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park, 4089 Iron Works Pike, Lexington, KY 40511. The event uses chip timing and starts and finishes at Alltech Arena.
The program includes a 5K run or walk open to all ages and a Jerry Can 5K Relay. The relay is a three person event with separate men's and women's team categories. Each team uses a Jerry can provided by the organizer; men’s teams carry a can filled with 5 gallons (approximately 42 lb) of water and women’s teams carry a can filled with 3 gallons (approximately 25 lb). Time results for each team end when the Jerry can carried by the team crosses the finish line. Teams register as a single entry and are responsible for forming their own three person teams. The Jerry can may be carried in any position but no straps or other modifications to the can are permitted.
The stated goal of the Foundations for Hope 5K is to advance the Gospel by empowering the local church, investing in individuals, providing critical resources, and equipping Christian leaders. This edition will direct support through the local church in East Africa to provide Christian leaders, churches, clean water, and medicine. The event is hosted by Gray Construction.
