Foundations 4 Hope 5K is a chipped time run or walk held on October 3, 2026 near Coldstream Dog Park and the Legacy Trail at 1850 Pisacano Drive, Lexington, KY 40511. The event includes a traditional 5K run or walk and a themed relay division that uses a provided Jerry Can.

The Jerry Can 5K Relay is a three person team division with separate men's and women's team categories. Foundations 4 Hope provides the Jerry Can filled with 5 gallons (42 lbs) of water for men teams and 3 gallons (25 lbs) of water for women teams. Each team registers as a single entry and is responsible for forming its own three person team. Time results are recorded when the last person of each team crosses the finish line. The can may be carried in any position but no straps or other additions to the can are permitted. Athletes of all ages are permitted to participate.
Registration opens April 1, 2026. Registration closes October 3, 2026 for the individual 5K and October 2, 2026 for the relay division. The listed registration fee is $35.00 per entry.
