Reach, Rally, & Run
The Reach, Rally, & Run, formerly known as Fostering Footsteps, returns for its ninth edition in Raleigh. This athletic event supports the Wake Tech Foundation, which manages resources and provides support for students at Wake Tech Community College. The races take place at the North Scott Wake Tech campus, featuring a course that circles the campus grounds.
Participants can choose from several in-person distance options:
- 10K
- 5K
- Fun Mile
- Kids in Strollers (open to ages 4 and under)
In addition to the physical event, virtual options are available for those who wish to complete the distances remotely. The virtual categories include the Virtual 10K, Virtual 5K, and Virtual Fun Mile.
All finishers in the 5K, 10K, and Fun Mile categories receive a medal and a participant gift. Those running the 10K will also receive a split time at the 5K mark. The event is open to various modes of movement, as the organizers encourage individuals to run, walk, roll, or stroll the course. Awards are available for top overall finishers and age group winners. Participants can also earn points for the Fit & Able Free-for-All Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
