Foster the Future Run

The Foster the Future Run is the 9th annual 5K and 10K run/walk held in La Cañada, California. The event supports Journey House, Pasadena, an organization founded in 1983 that provides emotional support, guidance, and financial aid to former foster and probation youth to assist with education and vocational goals.

The course starts and finishes in the Oak Grove Park area across from La Cañada high school, just north of the Rose Bowl. The route combines paved road and flat compact trail, passes the historic Devils Gate Dam, and goes into the Hahamongna Watershed. There are two water stations along the 10K course and one water station on the 5K course.

Additional event information notes that finisher medals are awarded to all participants who complete the run/walk and that awards are given to top finishers in each division. Race results are posted near the registration area on event day and are published online afterward. Free parking is available inside the event location.
