Event overview
The Foster the Future Run is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026, in La Cañada/ Pasadena, California. The event offers two distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run/Walk
The event supports Journey House, a Pasadena organization founded in 1983 that provides emotional support, guidance, and financial aid to former foster and probation youth. The race is organized by Aztlan Athletics and lists sponsors including Aztlan Athletics Foundation and Journey House.
Course and logistics
The start and finish are located in the Oak Grove Park area across from La Cañada High School, just north of the Rose Bowl. The course combines road and flat compact trail and passes through the Historic Devils Gate Dam into the Hahamongna Watershed. The 10K course includes two water stations and the 5K course includes one water station. Free parking is available inside the event location at Hahamongna Watershed Park, 4550 Oak Grove Drive, La Canada, CA 91011. Pets must be on a leash and start at the back of the field with strollers and parents. All finishers receive a finisher medal; awards are given to top finishers in each division.
