Event Overview
The Fort Worth Marathon takes place in Fort Worth, Texas, with the event hub located at 1501 University Drive. The race weekend offers several distance options on a course officially certified by the USA Track & Field Association. Because the route meets these certification standards, the full marathon can be used as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
The course is designed for speed and takes participants through several scenic areas of the city. Runners follow a path that passes along the Trinity River, through Overton Park, and near the Colonial area. The event is organized into two days of racing to accommodate different distances.
Available Distances
Participants can choose from five distinct race lengths:
- Marathon: 26.2 miles
- 20 Mile Race: 20 miles
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- 10K: 10 kilometers
- 5K: 5 kilometers
Registration for all distances opens in early January and remains available until February. The 10K and 5K events are held on the first day of the event weekend, while the longer distances, including the half marathon, 20 mile race, and full marathon, take place on the second day.
