Event Overview

The Fort Frenzy Ultra Festival is a timed endurance event held at Fort Loudon State Historic Park in Vonore, Tennessee. The race takes place on a trail loop around Tellico Lake.

Distances

The event offers several timed race options:

  • 6 Hour Ruck (with a weighted backpack)

Course Details

The course is a 3.65-mile loop with approximately 500 feet of elevation gain per loop. The trail is located within a state park and is described as nearly 100% runnable singletrack, with a short paved section near the start/finish pavilion.

Event Features

The festival is part of the Tennessee Double Ultra Festival. Completing both this 24-hour event and the Three Sisters Ultra Festival 24-hour event earns a special combined medal and plaque. Reaching a 50k or greater distance during the event qualifies a participant for The Cherokee Ultra in the following year. A $500 cash prize is offered for the overall winner who breaks the current 24-hour course record.

Additional Information

The 6-hour ruck division requires participants to carry a weighted pack, with specific weight requirements for men, women, and youths under 15. Finishers in the ruck division receive a patch. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
