Event

Forgotten Florida is organized by Run Bum Races and takes place January 31 - February 1, 2026 in Christmas, Florida. The event offers multiple trail race distances and includes course maps, aid station breakdowns, and a runner handbook. The 15-mile and 8-mile races take place on Sunday.

Distances

  • 100 Mile - point-to-point, about 80% trail, 34-hour cutoff.
  • 50 Mile - first 50 miles of the 100, point-to-point, 16-hour cutoff.
  • 15 Mile - single loop, 5-hour cutoff (3.25-hour cutoff at the mile-10 aid station).
  • 8 Mile - single loop, 3-hour cutoff.

Course and wildlife

Routes run through Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch, and Little Big Econ State Forest. The course is largely single-track through palm groves and pine flatwoods, with some mud, grass, and roots. The 100/50 courses include about 2 miles of pavement and the 100-mile race includes a 25-mile out-and-back section with planned crew access. Runners may see a variety of birds including herons, cranes, bald eagles, and spoonbills.

Cutoffs, swag, and policies

Swag and awards for early registrants: 100-mile entrants registered by 12/15 receive a pint glass, hat, and a buckle if they finish; 50/15 receive a hat and finisher medal; 8-mile entrants receive a hat. Refund and transfer rules differ by distance: beyond 90 days some half-credit options exist; within 90 days most races do not offer refunds, transfers, or deferments.
