Forever Home Run
The Forever Home Run is an annual athletic event held in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Established in 2015, the event is a collaboration between Legacy Adoption Services and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. It serves to raise awareness and funding for foster children awaiting adoption. The 2026 edition marks the 12th year of the event.
Participants can choose from several event formats:
- 5K Run/Walk: A USATF certified course through Bloomfield Hills featuring fall foliage.
- 1K Dress-Up Dash: A shorter distance intended for participants in costume.
- Virtual 5K: A remote option that can be completed between October 3rd and October 5th.
The in-person 5K is professionally timed by Eastside Racing Company using microchip technology. Participants are permitted to wear costumes during the races. All finishers receive a medal, and prizes are awarded to overall winners as well as the top performers in specific categories.
The event features additional on-site attractions including children's activities and community vendors. Registration fees for all race categories include a t-shirt, though these are guaranteed only for those who register by September 7th. The in-person races take place at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church on North Adams Road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
