Fore the Fun 5K Run
Fore the Fun is an inaugural sunset 5K costume walk and run at Queenstown Harbor Golf Resort in Queenstown, Maryland, held on October 25, 2026. The course follows the resort's scenic cart paths and a private roadway and is timed so the race and finish-line activities occur around dusk. The event is open to the public and has a participant cap of 250.
The program includes a costume contest with multiple prize categories, medals for all finishers, podium awards, and age-group awards across standard male and female divisions. Timing is provided by a chip system using MYLAPS BibTag; top overall awards are scored by gun time while other age groups use chip net time. Results will be posted online during and after the race, with QR codes provided for pre-registered runners.
Post-race activities take place at the Pavilion and include the family-friendly Trunk-or-Tee kids activity, music, light snacks, and food and beverages available for purchase at the Tavern. Each registered participant receives an official race t-shirt and a finisher medal; registrations submitted by October 13 guarantee a race shirt and size. A portion of event proceeds will be donated to the Jacob Sloan Foundation, and registrants may add an optional donation to the foundation at checkout.
