For the King 5K (2026)
Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, is hosting a free community running and walking event on September 12, 2026. The event takes place at the church pavilion at 3401 E River Rd and is organized by the congregation for the Mt. Pleasant community.

- 5K road run
- 1 mile walk
Registration for the event is free. Registration and shirt pick-up occur near the start/finish area on race day. The first 25 event t-shirts are available for $5 when ordered through the organizer's form. Online registration is free but donations to the youth group are encouraged; donations of at least $10 include a Brat-Fest meal that contains a brat, appetizers, dessert, and beverages.
Following the run and walk, an annual Brat-Fest will be held near the pavilion. The post-event activities include an auto show, inflatable jumpy houses, a dunk tank, yard games, and other family entertainment. The stated goal of the event is to provide fellowship among the Mt.
