Footin' It For Family 5k
The Footin' It For Family 5k is organized by a nonprofit group of family and friends. The group formed in 2012 to create a team for those affected by cancer. From 2012 to 2016, the team participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Elmira, New York. In those five years, the team raised and donated $15,500.
In 2017, a committee was formed to host its own 5k race. Proceeds from the event support local communities. In its first nine years, the event has donated over $200,000 to the Ann and Carl Myers Cancer Center in Dansville, New York.
The race takes place at Pat & Gene Drum Farms at 11219 Dutch Hill Road in Cohocton, New York. Paper registration forms are available at the Cohocton Public Library, Cohocton Village Office, and Wayland Village Office. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
