The Folsom Lake Sweetwater Trail Run takes place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, Salmon Falls Parking Lot, El Dorado Hills, CA. Distances offered include:

Race day registration and bib pick-up occur on site. An overall time limit is listed for the event. All finishers receive a commemorative medal.
Course and logistics
The course is about 95% single-track and 5% dirt road, primarily following the Sweetwater/South Side Trail. Terrain includes gently rolling hills, some technical sections, and stretches that parallel Folsom Lake beneath oak trees and grass. Courses are marked with ribbons, signs, and gypsum. A creek crossing may require wet feet and has slippery rocks; an alternate course that avoids the creek may be used in inclement weather.
Aid station details vary by distance: the 50K has multiple aid stations and water stops; shorter distances have fewer stations. Drop bags can be delivered to specified aid stations. Toilets are available at the start/finish and at several aid stations on course. Parking requires a vehicle fee with overflow and alternate parking locations provided; some lots list no toilets.
