Folsom Lake Sprint & Super Sprint Triathlon
The Folsom Lake Sprint and Super Sprint Triathlons take place on May 9, 2027 at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area in Granite Bay, California. The events include a lake swim, scenic road bike courses closed to traffic, and trail runs along the lake.
Distances include:
- Folsom Lake Super Sprint Triathlon: 400 yard swim, 5 mile bike, 2 mile run
- Folsom Lake Sprint Triathlon: 1/2 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 3 mile run
Each competitor in the Sprint and Super Sprint distances receives a swim cap, post-race refreshments, a pair of TBF Racing socks, and a custom Folsom Lake Triathlon finisher hat. Commemorative race t-shirts are available for $20 when ordered before May 2.
Awards are given to first place male and female overall, and age-group awards are awarded three deep in each ten-year age group for both races. Relay team awards are presented in male, female, and coed divisions for the Sprint Triathlon.
Packet pick-up is held on race morning at the venue. The transition area is available on a first-come basis except for reserved racks for triathlon clubs; it is restricted to athletes only and bodymarking is required at the entrance. TBF Racing operates a volunteer program that provides a $50 voucher for a four-hour shift. The organizer maintains a no-refund policy with limited race credits and allows transfers under specified fees; events are held rain or shine.
