Follow the Flag 5K Trail Race
The Follow the Flag 5K Trail Race is a trail event in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The race distance is 5K and the course runs along Grove Creek, finishing beneath the event's large flying American flag. Participants receive a Follow the Flag 2026 finisher medal at the finish line.
The organizer describes the course in three sections: the first mile is relatively flat and fast, the second mile involves an uphill climb that raises the heart rate and thins the pack, and the final mile runs downhill to the creekside finish. All race entry fees are directed to the Follow the Flag Foundation's general purpose fund. The foundation supports funeral and memorial related activities for military members and first responders and uses its fund to carry out missions such as hanging flags in canyons in honor of the fallen, decorating neighborhoods when a fallen service member returns, repairing or replacing large flags, and providing practical assistance to families affected by military loss.
