Follow the Flag 5K Trail Race
The event is a 5K trail race held in Pleasant Grove, Utah, organized by the Follow the Flag Foundation. The foundation has supported funerals for fallen military and first responder personnel since 2014. All race fees are directed to the organization’s general purpose fund to support activities such as placing flags in canyons, decorating neighborhoods when a fallen service member returns, repairing or replacing large flags, and assisting families affected by loss.
The course is described in three sections: the first mile is relatively flat and fast, the second mile is an uphill climb that raises the heart rate and tends to spread out the field, and the final mile is downhill, finishing along Grove Creek beneath a large American flag. Finishers receive a 2026 finisher medal when they cross the finish line under the flag.
The event is organized by volunteers and is one of several patriotic events produced by the Follow the Flag organization.
