Foley Fun Days 5K and Kid K : Foley, MN
The event includes a community 5K and a short children’s race called Kid K held in downtown Foley on Dewey Street in front of the Mille Lacs Veterinary Clinic. The 5K follows a flat, fast loop on pavement that winds through the streets of Foley and finishes downtown.
For the 5K, awards include medals for the top male and female in each age category and additional prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers. Age brackets are: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; and 65+. An award ceremony will be held after the race. Complimentary water and snacks will be available at the finish and at two water stations on the course; snacks will also be available at the water stations for runners in strollers. Race results will be prepared by Pickle Events and posted on the Falcon National Bank website and in its Foley lobby.
Kid K is intended for children up to age 12. The route starts on Dewey Street, continues to Norman Avenue, turns around, and returns to the finish. Kid K registration includes a youth t-shirt, sunglasses, and a goodie bag; registering by June 1 guarantees a shirt size. For the 5K, registration before June 1 is listed at $25 and includes a shirt; registration after June 1 through race start is listed at $30. Organizers encourage participants to wear red, white and blue and note that photo opportunities will be available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
