Foggy Bottom Milk Run - Ferndale, CA
The 47th Annual Foggy Bottom Milk Run takes place on March 8, 2026 in Ferndale, California. The event has been held in Ferndale since its inception in 1978 and uses courses that wind through the town and surrounding farmland. The race starts and finishes in downtown Ferndale.
The event includes multiple race distances:
- 2 Mile, separate events for ages 14 and under and ages 15 and over
- 4 Mile
- 10 Mile
The 2 Mile includes youth team scoring with categories for Boys Under 11, Boys 11 to 14, Girls Under 11, Girls 11 to 14, and a Youth Group for schools without enough entrants. Team scoring follows NFHS cross-country rules: the first five finishers score and the next two act as displacers. To count in team scoring, a 2 Mile runner must finish within 45 minutes.
Awards for the 4 Mile and 10 Mile include one-deep overall male and female awards, one-deep master categories (40+), grand master categories (50+), senior grand master categories (60+), plus three-deep age-group awards covering from 14 and under through 80 plus. The 2 Mile awards include one-deep categories for 10 and under M/F and 11-14 M/F, top 30 in each kids age group, and school group trophies for several youth team categories.
