Flying Pig Marathon Weekend - Full Marathon
The full marathon covers 26.2 miles on a USATF-certified course that passes through neighborhoods in Cincinnati, Covington, Newport, Mariemont, Fairfax, and Columbia Township. The route finishes on Mehring Way near the Roebling Bridge overpass by the Anderson Pavilion and carousel. The start area is located at Rosa Parks Street.
All registered participants receive a shirt, a premium gift, a limited-edition poster, and a virtual goodie bag. Marathon finishers receive a medal, a mylar blanket, and finish-area refreshments. Finisher certificates are available to download after the race.
The event enforces a continuous course-closure pace of 16:00 minutes per mile; participants who cannot maintain that pace may be required to move to the sidewalk and runner services are not guaranteed for those beyond that pace. Participants who do not reach the Frisch's Mainliner between miles 17 and 18 will be bussed to the Eastern Avenue section of the course. Minimum age for the marathon is 18 years on race day.
Awards are given to the top three overall men and women by gun time. Age group awards are presented to the top three finishers by chip time in standard 5-year age divisions from 18-24 through 90+. Additional awards recognize the fastest final mile by male and female in each age group and the best time for the first half for male and female runners.
