YMCA Flying Leprechaun Fun Run
The YMCA Flying Leprechaun Fun Run is an untimed athletic event held in Warminster, Pennsylvania. This annual event takes place on a historic site that served as a naval base between the 1940s and 1993. The course is designed to be a scenic route through local parkland and wooded areas, concluding with a finish on a historic runway.
The event is open to participants aged 12 and under. Children may run, walk, crawl, or stroll the course. Strollers are permitted for young participants, and adults are allowed to accompany their registered children along the route. The primary distance offered is:
- 1-mile Fun Run
Participants are encouraged to wear leprechaun costumes to match the theme of the event. All registered youth receive a race shirt, a finisher's medal, and access to post-race refreshments at the Pot of Gold Runway Party.
The event is hosted by the River Crossing YMCA in partnership with Warminster Township Parks and Recreation. Registration is limited to the first 300 participants. While grownups may walk with their children, registration materials and shirts are provided only for the registered youth participants.
