Flying Brick Bellarine Sunset Run
The Flying Brick Bellarine Sunset Run is an annual event held on the Bellarine Peninsula, featuring a light coastal trail course between Portarlington and St Leonards. The event takes place on the second Saturday of February and offers multiple distances for participants who wish to run or walk.
The event includes three primary distances:
- 21.1 km ProFeet Half Marathon: An out-and-back course starting from Portarlington pier.
- 10.5 km Steigen 10 km: A point-to-point route from St Leonards pier to Portarlington.
- 4 km McColl’s Bully Buster: A run focused on exercise and youth mental health.
The 21.1 km distance includes an early start option for slower participants, and walkers are permitted with no official cutoff times. For the 10.5 km distance, a bus service from the finish back to the start is included in the entry fee. The 4 km event is an untimed run that starts from the event headquarters located in front of the Portarlington Pier.
All participants who complete their respective distances receive a finisher medal. In the event of primary scheduling issues, a backup date is planned for the following Sunday morning. The event also hosts a holiday clinic for children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
