Fluff the Halls 5K and Holiday Festival
The inaugural Alpaquita Ranch Fluff the Halls 5K and Holiday Festival takes place on December 5, 2026 at Alpaquita Ranch in Monte Alto, Texas. The event pairs a chip-timed 5K run and a 5K ruck with a holiday festival on the ranch property, which includes alpacas and Highland cows on site.
Race features include chip timing, participant t-shirts for those registered by October 30, 2026, finisher medals, trophies for top male and top female, age group medals for the listed age brackets, and race-themed bibs. Standard registration is $35; a reduced registration fee of $30 applies for military and first responders. Registration opens September 13, 2026 and closes December 2, 2026.
The festival element marks the Christmas tree season opening weekend and offers live music, a holiday vendor market with local artisans and specialty vendors, food, wine and beer, and family activities and holiday experiences for a range of ages. The first 50 people to register for the 5K receive a pair of reindeer ears. The previous year’s Christmas celebration on the ranch featured Christmas trees, music, vendors, Santa, food, drinks and children’s activities; this edition adds the 5K to that festival format.
