Florida Tech Homecoming 2-Mile Run/Walk
The event takes place on October 22, 2026 at Florida Tech - Panther Plaza, 150 West University Blvd, Melbourne, FL. It includes organized 2 mile running and walking races held as part of the Florida Tech Homecoming program.
There are three race categories listed: the general 2 Mile Run/Walk, a 2 Mile Florida Tech Student race, and a 2 Mile Florida Tech Faculty/Staff race. Registration opens September 1, 2026 and closes October 21, 2026. Published entry fees are $30 for general entry, $20 for students, and $25 for faculty and staff. Participant capacity is limited to 200. Proceeds benefit the Panther Fund.
Amenities and event services include a course on the Florida Tech campus, medallions for overall winners, event T shirts while supplies last with size requests not guaranteed if registered after September 18, and post race refreshments. Packet pickup and registration are scheduled at Running Zone (3696 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne FL 32935) on October 21 from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. There is no packet pickup at Running Zone on the day of the event; packets may be collected at the race site beginning at 4:15 PM on October 22. Late registration closes at 5:15 PM on the day of the event. An awards ceremony will take place immediately following the race.
Awards include Top 3 male and female overall, Top Masters 40 plus, Top Alumni, Top 3 teams by participation, and age group awards for the top three men and women in each listed age division. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
