Flora-Bama Freedom Run

The Flora-Bama Freedom Run takes place on Saturday, July 4th. The event features a 4 Mile run and walk, as well as a 1 Mile fun run.

Participants are encouraged to wear patriotic outfits. The first 400 participants to finish receive a finisher medal. Awards are given for first place male and female in all age groups for both the 4-mile run and walk, with special recognition plaques for the overall male and female runners and walkers.

Packet pickup is available the day before the race, on Friday, July 3rd, from 4 PM to 6 PM inside the Flora-Bama bar. It is also available on race day, Saturday, from 6 AM to 7:30 AM in a tent at the venue. Organizers encourage picking up packets on Friday to avoid long wait times.

Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 400 registered participants, subject to available sizes. A post-race party in a tent at the Flora-Bama includes live music, a breakfast buffet, and complimentary draft beer or non-alcoholic drinks for participants.

A fireworks show begins at 9 PM on July 4th. A portion of the event's proceeds benefits the AHERO Foundation, which connects veterans with outdoor activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
