Flora-Bama Freedom Run
The Flora-Bama Freedom Run takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Flora-Bama in Pensacola, Florida. The event features two distances:
- 4 Mile Run and Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Proceeds from the event benefit the AHERO Foundation. AHERO connects veterans with local community members through outdoor events and social activities and aims to support recovery from the physical and psychological effects of military service.
Age-group awards are offered for the 4 mile run and the 4 mile walk in these divisions: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. First place awards are presented separately for male and female participants in each age group for both the run and the walk. Overall male and overall female runners and walkers receive special recognition plaques and sunglasses sponsored by Goodr.
Finisher medals are guaranteed for the first 500 participants through the finish line; all 1 mile fun run participants are guaranteed a finisher medal. Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 600 registered participants; available sizes depend on registration stock.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race, Friday July 3 at the Flora-Bama (inside the bar after the gift shop), and on race day in the Flora-Bama tent. A post race party in the tent includes live music, a breakfast buffet, and complimentary draft beer or non-alcoholic drinks for participants.
